Agility Robotics Secures $465 Million for Humanoid Robot Expansion
Agility Robotics will raise $465 million through a SPAC merger, funding the commercial scale-up of its Digit humanoid robot for manufacturing and logistics customers.

Agility Robotics has secured $465 million in gross capital to accelerate commercial humanoid robot deployments in manufacturing. The funding comes through a proposed merger with Churchill Capital Corp XI and a private investment in public equity (PIPE) led by manufacturing giant Foxconn.
The expected gross capital raise is $465 million before transaction expenses. It comprises $164 million from Churchill XI’s trust account, $201 million from the Foxconn-led PIPE, and $100 million in equity funding Agility already received. The business combination and PIPE financing are expected to close on November 4, 2026, pending shareholder approval at a meeting scheduled for November 2. Common stock of the combined entity is set to begin trading on the Nasdaq Stock Market on November 5, 2026. Agility Robotics Inc. said: "Agility is expected to enter the public markets well capitalized to execute its planned investments in commercial expansion and support growing customer demand."
Commercial deployments expand with new customer partnerships
Agility claims to be the first U.S. publicly traded, pure-play humanoid supplier with commercial deployments. It reported $1.8 million in net sales in 2025. Current customers include Toyota, Mercado Libre, and Schaeffler across nine sites. The company is engaged with more than 30 prospective customers through active discussions or its Customer Acceleration Program.
New agreements are scaling operations. AGCO announced a commercial agreement on October 20, 2026, for a Digit pilot at its agricultural machinery factory in Hesston, Kansas, expected to begin in 2027. Agility also expanded its partnership with GXO Logistics, implementing humanoids in North Carolina and Tennessee. Under a multi-year agreement that began in June 2024, Digit robots have moved more than 100,000 totes at a GXO facility in Georgia. Agility describes this as the first formal commercial deployment of a humanoid robot in live operations.
Three additional manufacturing customers are in paid programs. They are a major global automaker selling over three million vehicles annually, a leading developer of automotive technology and components, and a leading global consumer products manufacturer.
Digit 5 ready for 2027 market launch
The next-generation Digit 5 humanoid was unveiled on September 15, 2026. It features new legs and possible wheels for safe human collaboration. The robot is designed to support a broader range of industrial workflows. Agility is on track to begin deliveries to early-access customers in the first half of 2027. General availability is targeted for the end of that year.
Production and market context
Agility manufactures its robots at RoboFab, a 70,000-square-foot facility in Salem, Oregon. The factory has an annual production capacity of up to 10,000 robots. The company's robots have logged more than 65,000 hours of real-world operation. The capital raise follows significant funding rounds for competitors in the humanoid space this year, highlighting intense market interest.
| Company | Funding Round | Amount Raised This Year |
|---|---|---|
| AI2 Robotics | Series C | $735 million |
| Apptronik | Series A-X | $520 million |
| UBTECH | Acquisition | $249 million (for Fenglong Electric) |
| Faraday Future | Acquisition | Purchased FF Robotics (this week) |
The transaction will make Agility the only US-listed pure-play humanoid robotics company with active commercial deployments. The company is headquartered in Salem, Oregon, with additional offices in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Fremont, California. Trading of its common stock begins on Nasdaq on November 5, 2026.
